In Pennsylvania, there was a Christian man who owned a paintball park. As part of a larger evangelistic festival, he decided to hold a paintball affinity evangelism event. He held an all day reenactment of Old Testament battles.
A small fee was charged and lunch was included. It was widely advertised as part of the festival so this event was open to the public and promoted in many local churches who participated in the festival.
People of varying ages participated in the paintball battles over the course of the several hours. At the end of the event after the battles were finished, the participants gathered under a picnic shelter. The evangelist was introduced and gave message about following Christ and incorporated stories about Civil War generals. Over a dozen people responded to the invitation and were counseled to receive Christ.
The event ended with an awards ceremony with a lot of prizes from the very generous owner of the park.
