One Pittsburgh area church held an affinity event weekend with 4 events: a ladies tea, a men's golf outing, a youth concert and family carnival/picnic.
The ladies of the church created a ladies tea with the theme "Making Life Simpler". There were delightful cookies and sandwiches, and of course, tea. After some refreshments, one woman in the church spoke about Once A Month Cooking and gave away a free cookbook. I followed that with Making Theology Simple, using the parable of Jesus in Luke 15 spoke to them about their value in God's eyes and a God who pursues them. It was well received.
