The guys loved it. In some ways it was your typical golf outing. And in others ways, it definitely was not.
The men of this church invited their friends to a golf banquet. They played on a 9 hole course and had enough men for 9 foursomes. They had a shotgun start with a foursome on every hole. There were prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin on a par 3, lowest team score, fewest putts, etc. They also played a modified best ball where all the players hit their ball and then they rolled a die to see whose ball they would play: roll a 1 for player one's ball (similar for 2, 3 & 4), then if you rolled a 5 you took the worst shot or 6 you took the best shot. It was humorous.
The golfing was followed by a burger dinner banquet where they gave out the prizes and finally, a very funny guy in the church gave his testimony and invited others to follow Christ. Some did.
